NZ tax collector chooses NetworkCommunication as European agency
EROAD, a New Zealand based truck tax collector has chosen NetworkCommunication to be their strategic and communications partner in Europe.
EROAD is a leading transport technology and services company with an impressive track record within toll-technology. The company offers innovative solutions that will contribute to the development of any transport sector, and are aligned with the evolving needs of governments, businesses and the wider community.
EROAD – a first mover
In 2009 EROAD implemented the world’s first autonomous GNSS/CN (Global Navigation Satellite Systems/Cellular Network) tolling system for heavy vehicles in New Zealand. EROAD’s advanced solutions have been developed to assist their clients to meet the challenges facing them now and into the future.
NetworkCommunication is proud of being chosen. “It proves our position as specialists within infrastructure and underlines the need of a strict business focus – where the rest of the communications business is channel driven, we have focused on business solutions”, states Morten Nielsen, CEO and founder of NetworkCommunication.
Award winning technology
The mandate given from EROAD is to establish a solid understanding among the European stakeholders within road pricing of the unique truck tolling solution developed by EROAD. With an extreme low admin cost below 5% combined with a unique technology solution, the expectations from the Auckland based company are high.
“Denmark will introduce road pricing in 2014, and we are obviously aiming at a participation in SKAT’s tender on providing a system for toll collecting on heavy vehicles. But we also expect our solutions will be of interest to countries like Germany, Sweden, France etc. who we know all operate with high admin costs”, says Brian Michie, SVP/Global Business Development at EROAD.
EROAD is the winner of the 2010 NZ HITECH-AWARDS.
